Ayla, our sweet, sweet black labrador retriever.
Every morning we used to walk to my paintingstudio/gallery in the old citycentre of Amsterdam. This is where Ayla started with her job. She performed as a model, PR agent, hostess and,
most important, the muze to my art. Patiently she sat or lied down inside the studio to pose
or she was awaiting possible clients in front of the studiodoor. Professionally wagging her tail she attracted a lot of (international) attention and lead the people into the gallery
to have a closer look at the dogpaintings in the gallery.
Her enthousiasm,charm, love and beauty lead frequently to people buying a dogpainting or commissioning me to paint their dogs portrait.
She unexpectedly passed away on june 14th 2006, eleven years old. She was my paintersmodel, inspiration and remains my eternal soulfriend.
