Joep Buijs is an experienced painter of portraits, technically skilled and educated in the best Dutch Art Academies. He is an expert in the energetic and lively
portrayal of a personality. His contemporary style of painting will lead to your enjoyment for more than one lifetime..
It is possible to commission Joep to draw or paint a portrait. The portrait will be painted or drawn with high quality professional standard materials. You do not
need to sit ‘live’ in the studio. A professional portrait can be based on photographic images. Photo’s and HD film will be made by Joep (when living in the
Netherlands). In case you are not able to meet Joep in person the details of suitable images will be supplied to you.
General information/indication costs for a commissioned portrait (per face/head): €1800 (50 : 50 cm), €3000,- (100/120 : 100/120 cm). Prices are the same in
colour or black/white and excluding transportationcosts and possible (VAT-) taxes. The necessary (international) bankinformation will be supplied to you.
From start to finish of a painting takes usually 4 weeks. You pay 10% deposit. This deposit is not refundable. It is used for the materials. When the painting is
finished and you like the result you will transfer the rest of the money to our bankaccount in the Netherlands.
In case you do not like the final painting you are not obliged to buy it. It will be added to the Joep Buijs Collection and it will be obtainable for the ‘free market’. This
has never happened yet, but guarantees Joep absolute freedom to express his vision and style for you.
Information on exact prices and sizes will be provided after consulting, on request.
Paintings can be securely shipped to your location, anywhere in the world.
